This is unlikely to be an issue for game projects that don’t use high-end, modern graphics, but for titles aiming to be visual powerhouses, it’s a necessity to consider at every stage of development. Immersing players in a well-designed world is a fantastic way to invest players in a game, but it’s less effective if that comes at the cost of performance.
